About Notification Instrumental
These are the shortest files on the site, and the most deliberately plain. A notification tone has one job: tell you something arrived, without commentary. A file that is short, mid-volume and free of obvious emotional colour does that job better than a fragment of a longer piece.
They also make good ringtones for work phones. In a clinic, a classroom or a client meeting, the best ringtone is one nobody remembers afterwards, and that is exactly what this collection is for.
Because these files are brief, most run under twenty seconds, they will loop if used as a call ringtone. That is fine for an alert but can grate on a long ring cycle, so consider pairing a tone from here for messages with a longer file for calls.

Notification Instrumental FAQ
On Android, open Settings, then Sound and vibration, then Notification sound, and pick the downloaded file. On iPhone, export the file from GarageBand as a text tone, then choose it in Settings under Sounds and Haptics. The setup guide covers both in more detail.
On Android, yes for many apps: open the app's own notification settings, or the per-channel settings in Android's notification menu, and choose a custom sound. On iPhone this is limited, though Messages and Mail allow custom tones and some apps offer their own in-app choice.
Most will loop at least once during a normal ring cycle, which some people find repetitive. If you want a single tone for calls, look at a file between twenty-five and thirty-five seconds in another collection, and keep these for alerts.
